Young Henrys’ Sounds on the Terrace is back for its biggest summer ever

The Museum of Contemporary Art Sculpture Terrace will this summer play host to a series of live music events, known as Sounds on the Terrace, with special help from their friends at Young Henrys.

Sounds on the Terrace provides the perfect space for live music and cocktails, set to the backdrop of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks.

In celebration of everyone’s favourite time of year, the team at Young Henrys and the Museum of Contemporary Art have collaborated on Sounds on the Terrace, an event providing attendees with an exciting selection of live music and a chance to sample seasonal offerings from the MCA Cafe’s extensive menu.

If that wasn’t enough, the Sculpture Terrace is the perfect vantage point for killer views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

The team at Young Henrys have been working long and hard to provide the perfect beverage accompaniment for the summer, too. They’re introducing the Lagerita, the love child of a beer and a margarita, to the Sounds on the Terrace drinks menu.

The first-of-its-kind cocktail mixes tequila, Cointreau and a generous squeeze of fresh lime juice with the citrusy hops of Young Henrys Natural Lager. The Lagerita is best served with sunsets and tunes on the MCA’s rooftop Sculpture Terrace.

Not A Boys Name and Fiction Writer will grace the stage at this summer’s Sounds on the Terrace. Not A Boys Name delivers distorted vocals, punchy, sharp guitar hooks and a strong bass line that recalls indie-rock luminaries such as Ariel Pink and The Strokes.

Fiction Writer’s squished guitars, sizzling hats and belting drums fall somewhere between Queens of the Stone Age and Royal Blood. Their debut single No Rumor will be sure to leave listeners wanting more.

The first Sounds on the Terrace will take place on Wednesday, December 5. Best of all, entry is free! Tee up an exhibition or two while you’re in the building.
