Get ready to be as excited as we are, Parlophone Records have just announced the release of a fourth David Bowie box-set titled Loving The Alien, set to be out by October this year.
Loving The Alien (1983-1988) is a box set following up the critically acclaimed and award-winning: Five Years (1969-1973), Who Can I Be Now (1974-1976), and A New Career In A New Town (1977-1982).
The box set will feature newly remastered versions of tracks from David Bowie’s most commercially successful period in his entire career.
The set, to be released on vinyl, CD, and digitally is a collection named after the first track from the album Tonight and contains new instrumentation from original Bowie collaborators and renowned David Bowie Producer/engineer Mario McNulty.
Some of your favourite Bowie tracks including, Let’s Dance, Tonight and Never Let Me Down will feature in the box set, as well as the previously unreleased live album Serious Moonlight, and one of our favourites, Glass Spider (live Montreal,1987).
The collaborators re-working Never Let Me Down have revealed a strong collection of tracks with a consistent thread of dark themes seething within the set. Fans listening to the remastered version of Never Let Me Down would be “forgiven for thinking that they were listening to a brand new ‘lost’ Bowie record”.
