After half a century, Woodstock 1969 is still seared into the mind of society. Woodstock 50 plans to do it all again.

Also on the bill are Dead and Company, John Fogerty, Santana, John Sebastien, Country Joe-Mcdonald, Canned Heat and Hot Tuna, who all performed at the historic 1969 festival.

The event takes place on 16th-18th August, the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock.

It will be an eclectic bill” said organiser Michael Lang, organiser of Woodstock 50, and co-creator of Woodstock in 1969.

“It’ll be hip-hop and rock and some pop and some of the legacy bands from the original festival… I want it to be multi-generational. Woodstock 94′ was a nice mix of young and old and that’s kind of what we’re going for here.”

It appears Lang is a man of his word, covering artists from a range of genre’s and decades.
Hip-hop: Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, Run the Jewels, Common, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, Princess Nokia.
