Whether you’re a fan of the Fresh Prince’s spawn or not, a collaboration with Hiatus Kaiyote would be an interesting one at that!

In a brand new interview with Interview Mag, the far-beyond-her-years teenage star has praised the Melbourne future soul act Hiatus Kaiyote saying it would be her “dream” to make music with the group.

“One of my dream collaborations is to work with a band called Hiatus Kaiyote, because their music is so beautiful, the changing of the time signatures,” the 15-year-old explained.

“Nai Palm, the vocalist, I have such an affinity for her voice. And everything that she talks about in her music and everything that she stands for is just so beautiful….”

Smith used the term “beautiful” to describe the Grammy-nominated Aussies three times more, so it seems her love for the band is as deep as their tunes!

The band have yet to respond to Smith’s comments, but if a collaboration between the pair eventuates it’s sure to be a melting pot of creative and aesthetically pleasing goodness.
