What would you do if Damon Albarn asked you to rap onstage at a Gorillaz concert, while tripping balls?

Earlier this week, Gorillaz performed at Rough Trade in NYC, their first American show in seven years.

During their last song of the night, Cling Eastwood from their self-titled 2001 album, Damon Albarn invited an audience member to rap Del The Funky Homosapien’s part onstage. The fan replied, “What should I do? … I’m tripping balls right now.”

It was either the most terrifying or amazing moment of a Gorillaz fan’s life when she was invited onstage to sing Clint Eastwood while tripping balls.

Albarn played the verse while telling the fan (who had hair and glasses like Noodle) to “just hang out.”

“At the show there were none of the standard Gorillaz visuals, but as expected, Albarn brought out a whole bunch of guests to perform their parts, including Peven Everett, Posdnuos of De La Soul, Jamie Principle, and Kali Uchis. A number of singers who contributed backing vocals on the record were situated in the stage right balcony and performed live with the band.”
