On Friday night, Neil Young played a super intimate (for what he’s used to) solo set in a cozy theatre in his hometown of north Ontario, Canada. Although just 200 people were in attendance, Young live-streamed the whole thing on his Facebook.

Armed with an array of acoustic instruments, – a piano, a harmonica, a banjo and his guitar – Young played an expansive set that included his beloved classics like Old Man, Helpless and Heart of Gold, plus a few cuts that he rarely has the chance to play live, tracks like There’s a World.
During the performance fans were urged to donate to The Bridge School, an innovative organisation educating children with severe speech and physical impairments.

The show was in celebration of the launch of his digital archives, a massive online collection of material (released and unreleased) from his entire career, and the release of his new album, The Visitor, which came out Friday.
