Ahh, the old mashup. Riding on literally limitless potential, every now and then a mashup so insane arises you have to wonder; who the hell thought of that? Here’s the latest, the Black Sabbath song War Pigs synced perfectly to footage from Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants.
And yeah, it’s about as weird as you think. Spongebob, Patrick and co. aren’t exactly the perfect delivery device for gory, black magic tinged heavy metal, but the precision with which the footage is tied together makes up for it, as strange as that may seem.
You’ll never see Black Sabbath the same way again after hearing Ozzy Osbourne’s gnarly vocals screamed out by SpongeBob SquarePants himself.
It actually works. Given it’s not the first time we’ve seen metal mashed up against children’s entertainment… so the world might be on to something here.
