If you’re all about a little Bootleg Rascal, Timberwolf and a dash of Adelaide rockers West Thebarton then Blenheim Music and Camping Festival has just delivered the best news of 2018. With a massive lineup on the cards and one of the most beautiful locations in the country, it’s no wonder we have only heard great things about this event.
But probably the most impressive facet of Blenheim is that it’s completely not-for-profit, giving back to their local community and supporting charity. We are fully behind this kind of event model, one that Australia sadly does not see enough of.
The best thing about Blenheim Festival is that it is 100% not-for-profit. Raising $23,000 for charity and the local community last year alone, the promoters of this event have made it a priority that Blenheim gives back as much as it takes in.
With international acts including The Black Seeds from New Zealand and Z-Star Delta from the UK, Blenheim just seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year. With the option to camp for the two days in the luscious hills surrounding Adelaide’s Clare Valley, your Easter Weekend could be just the musical getaway you were after.
Volunteer-run and fiercely local, this is a festival about as wholesome as they come. Good people grab tickets to good festivals, and you can be sure Blenheim brings the ‘everybody love everybody’ environment like nobody else can.
Once again Blenheim will be donating the lion’s share of their profits to New Hope Cambodia, a service providing food, education, health and social care to the people of Mondul Bai. So far Bleinheim has raised $76,000 for this cause alone, with plans to make 2018 their biggest intake yet.
Starting on Thursday the 29th of April and wrapping up with a full day of tunes on Good Friday, this is a festival which sure knows how to make two days as loaded as possible. Check out some of what you missed last year below:
Not just limited to music, you can expect Blenheim to be home to delicious food and local vendors and stalls, all located in the Trumpet Lane Marketplace. So whether it be a chilled out break from the city, a jam packed weekend of getting down, or your way of giving back, this one has it all. Also being family friendly, Blenheim has pretty much everyone covered.
