triple J Unearthed High winner announced

Mosquito Coast have just been announced as the winners of triple J Unearthed High for 2015. The Perth duo is made up of 17 year olds Naomi Robinson on vocals and guitar and Connor Barton on drums. The band took the crown with their indie, garage pop/rock sound over a record breaking 850 entrants.

Mosquito Coast unearthed high

Mosquito Coast will now receive professional advice from an Australian musician and their manager, and have the choice of picking from Alison Wonderland, The Jezabels,  Ily,  Art vs Science or Northlane.

They will be joining the likes of previous unearthed high winners like Japanese Wallpaper, Asta and Stonefield,  and will be hitting up the triple J studios to record their first professional track.
