Stockholm outfit Tiny Fighter reimagine a scandi-noir classic on Hollow Talk

Straight out of Stockholm, indie-pop group Tiny Fighter come charging out of the gate with ripper new track, Hollow Talk. Following the success of debut single New Century, the group has been hard at work perfecting their craft in the studio and on the stage.

Those keen on scandi-noir television will appreciate this reimagining of the opening theme from The Bridge. With dramatic piano, cellos, and berserk drums, the track signals a departure from the band’s more pop-driven debut.

Conceptual and epic, Hollow Talk will leave you aching for more glossy ballads from the Stockholm-based outfit Tiny Fighter.

Overcoming the incredible odds against them even meeting, Therese Karlsson (a truck driver from southern Sweden) and Tim Spelman (a doctor from Melbourne) joined forces in 2017.

Fans of Aldous Harding, CLOVES, Wolf Alice, Agnes Obel and Choir of Young Believers will feel right at home plugging into Tiny Fighter’s concept-driven bangers.

Recorded in Los Angeles and Stockholm with Daniel Reymer (Ben Frost, Foals, Girls Names), Hollow Talk will have you hooked from its delicate opening notes. The track builds from a deep rumbling melody into a no-holds-barred chorus. Underscored by Karlsson’s haunting vocals, listeners are treated to some of the most exciting new talent out of Sweden.

“Echoes start as a cross in you, trembling noises that comes too soon. Spatial moments in all you do, resonating your mask or feud. Hollow talking and hollow girl. Force it up from the root of pain.”

Hollow Talk is accompanied by an equally stirring music video. Teaming up with renowned Swedish filmmakers Kentsdottir, Tiny Fighter flesh out a cinematic spectacle. A shadow-drenched cautionary tale, the clip depicts a day of recording for vocalist Therese Karlsson.

Having recently expanded their duo into a fully-fledged six-piece band, the dynamic prowess of the group will be heating up across the live circuit. And with their growing catalogue of soulful beats, Tiny Fighter are setting their sights on a bright horizon.
