The frenzied buzz around the latest Game of Thrones season is slowly dying off, with number 7 wrapping up in August and season 8 not due out until late 2018 or early 2019. And while that may seem too far off for even the most casual of fans to bear, we’re sure it won’t be long until the murmur of rumour and speculation begins to pick up once again.
These mashups of Game of Thrones characters and classic albums covers are exactly what you need to get you through to season 8.
In the meantime, we found something to tide you over. It comes courtesy of the Instagram account Whythelongplayface, who caught our attention a little while back with their bloody excellent mashups of classic album covers and Star Wares characters.
In the wake of GoT season 7, Whythelongplayface created a series very much in the same vein, with characters from the show superimposed onto vinyl sleeves of classic albums. The photoshop skills involved are next level, as are the little puns and references hidden within.
