The raw, dirty-bodies-intertwined album cover was designed and photographed by long-time Editors collaborator Rahi Rezvari.
The raw but beautiful cover of Editors’ Violence album, showing three bodies contorted and interwoven, has been voted by the people as the Best Art Vinyl of the Year for 2018.
Editor’s lead vocalist, Tom Smith said in response, “I think Rahi took inspiration from the theme of human connection running through the record. His image is as brutal as the title, it is ambiguous and it is beautiful.”
Poignantly, the album itself is a movement to rawness for a band that started with heavy post-punk in 2005.
