Dust off your fluoro shirt, The Presets are doing a national tour

Australian dance duo The Presets have announced they will be embarking on a headline tour of Australia in support of their much anticipated fourth studio album, HI VIZ.

The electro legends will be kicking off the tour in June, stopping to blow the lids off Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane. Given these guys are experienced festival heads, it’s bound to be poppin’.

If their most recent single is anything to go off, The Presets are coming back with a vengeance. Seeing them live will be enough of an electro shock to keep you smiling for days.

Julian Hamilton describes their most recent effort as something that is “literally meant to get you out of your head.”

“All the songs on HI VIZ are outward looking so in that respect it’s much more like our earlier stuff.”

“It’s taken us ages to make this album because we just kept writing and recording more and more songs”, reflects Kim Moyes. “At one point we had about 50 contenders and, like us, they were all over the map mood wise. Eventually we decided – fuck it – let’s just pick the most ‘up for it’ songs.”

The most exciting news about The Presets crashing back onto the electro scene isn’t just the fact they are making tunes like their old bangers, it’s that they picked tracks that are the most fun for us to play live and decided, ‘why not have a whole album of them?’

Can’t argue with that logic! My estimation being these guys will be mint to see live. Grab your tickets here.
