Put out a slice: Macaulay Culkin’s band The Pizza Underground is no more

Macaulay Culkin, of Home Alone and Ryan Gosling shirtception fame, has announced the end times of his much-loved Velvet Underground cover band The Pizza Underground. The news broke in an interview Caulkin conducted with Marc Maron’s WTF podcast.

“I was a little tired of it, to be completely honest.”

Cry your way into a deep-pan depression, because Mcaulay Culkin’s cover band The Pizza Underground have officially hung up their grease-slicked instruments.

The Pizza Underground was formed in 2013 as little more than a joke. According to Culkin:

“It was a lark that we did—we did like an open mic thing and then we recorded something in my living room. And then just put it online and kinda forgot about it.”

Culkin made headlines last year when he directed and starred in Father John Misty’s incredibly crusty clip Total Entertainment Forever, in which he played a reincarnated Kurt Cobain who was promptly crucified.
