Fresh off the release of their new single, The Long Johns are hitting the road

Since releasing their debut EP back in 2016, Brisbane country-roots outfit The Long Johns have been ripping through Australia’s music scene with their rustic, old-school attitude.

Now, with the release of their new single Hound Dog, the four-piece are taking their sounds all over on a huge new national tour.

Fresh off the release of their incredible new single Hound Dog, Brisbane country-roots band The Long Johns are hitting the road for a huge run of live shows.

The tour will see the band takeover venues all over the country, hand delivering you their gothic, western music.

While Hound Dog seems like a fun-loving country tune on the surface, it tackles some pretty dark subject matter. It tells the story of a Great Dane who’s tasked with guarding a chicken coup – though eventually, the canine succumbs to his natural instincts and… well, you get the rest.

Metaphorically, the song explores out deeply flawed human nature, and our tendency to give in to animalistic instincts.

If you want to catch the band playing the new song live (and a whole lot of others), head along to any of the following dates:
