After The Flaming Lips recently announced just one headline show for their next trip to Australia, it has now been disclosed that they will be playing a free, all ages show to launch the 2016 Sydney Festival.
The show will no doubt feature confetti, glitter, giant inflatable balls and blow up creatures lurking on the stage. The Flaming Lips will take over The Domain in Sydney on Saturday January 9 ahead of the 40th annual Sydney Festival, which has just shared a mammoth line-up for the 2016 event that will span across 157 events.
