Tell your mates: Australian Music Week 2017 artist applications are now open

After a massive second year, Australian Music Week will be returning to its home in Cronulla in 2017. Locking in nice and early, this year’s summit will be taking place on November 1st-3rd.

The event sees musicians and industry folk come together in a chill, personable environment. A one-stop-shop for networking, learning and finding some great new acts, it’s been a resounding success so far.

Australian Music Week has locked in dates for 2017, and will officially be returning to Cronulla for its third year running.

Speaking in a press release, conference manager Jon Howell had the following to say:

“The connections made at last year’s event, particularly with overseas delegates have inspired us to continue to grow the event in 2017. We’re starting to see results for artists as a direct result of their involvement in the conference, and have received feedback from artists and industry that they find AMW a great place to meet new people and get business done.”

So far not many details have been released, so it’s safe to assume the event should feel familiar to last year’s attendees. That being said, AMW has announced a new focus on electronica in 2017, spearheaded by Daniel Morgan in partnership with Maker Agency.

Want to perform at the showcase? Applications are open now! Head here to apply, you have until the 17th of July.

AMW conference tickets will be on sale Tuesday 2nd May.
