S U R V I V E receive Emmy Award for synth-saturated Stranger Things theme

Are you a fan of the spine-chilling, synth-soaked introductory theme tune to Stranger Things?

S U R V I V E are the group responsible for the series’ creeping soundtrack, and have just received an Emmy award commending their efforts.

Stranger Things composers S U R V I V E received an award for the synth-heavy soundtrack we all know and love, the series itself accumulating a total of 18 Emmy nominations.

The Emmy for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music was handed to the pair made up of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein on Sunday night in LA, as part of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony.

And if that wasn’t enough, the series received 18 other Emmy nominations, including Best Drama Series which is set to be announced next week.

S U R V I V E have gone back to the drawing board ahead of season 2 of Stranger Things, creating new concoctions, only giving away that, “things are going to be a bit darker and weirder. I think they are going to spend a little more time in the Upside Down this season,” Dixon told Vinyl Press.

You can check out a live, full version of the eerie track below or keep your eyes peeled for Stranger Things season 2, due out on October 27 via Netflix.
