Splendour in the Grass announces one-time VIP ticket fundraiser in support of Cyclone Debbie victims

Right after Splendour in the Grass announced their 2017 lineup, the Northern Rivers area of New South Wales was devastated by tropical Cyclone Debbie.

While the clean up and repair is under way, the damage to North Byron Parklands’ neighbouring areas was immense, and the communities of Lismore, Byron and Tweed Shires are in need of assistance. That’s where Splendour’s new fundraising initiative, announced today, comes in.

This may be your very last chance to grab Splendour in the Grass tickets. The festival has announced a single run of VIP tickets, raising funds for victims of Cyclone Debbie.

“Splendour is proud to call Northern NSW home and many of our event team live and operate businesses across the Lismore, Byron and Tweed Shires. It has been heartbreaking to see the flood damage on such a huge scale and also to hear so many stories of loss. We hope that this fundraising initiative will provide assistance to those who need it most.” said Splendour in the Grass co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco.

Here are the details for the Northern Rivers flood fundraiser, from a press release sent this morning:

From Tuesday 2 May to Friday 5 May, 50 special Flood Relief Gold Passes for Splendour in the Grass 2017 will be released for sale via auction here. These passes are not available to the general public except for this one time release.

A Flood Relief Gold Pass means you’ll do Splendour in the Grass 2017 in style! It includes access to Splendour’s Gold Bar (VIP vibes), Amphitheatre side of stage viewing and also the Golden View Bar, overlooking all the main stage action.

The auction will run each day from 9:00am to 9:00pm with a fresh batch of Flood Relief Gold Passes to be released each morning, each with a $500 reserve. Auction winners will be advised each night.

Please note that these passes are 18+ and for the Event only. They are not transferable. You must enter your full name (as on ID) and date of birth when you bid. Onsite camping is no longer available but you can check out other accommodation options here.
