Dance Rites

Australia’s First Nations dance competition, Dance Rites will return to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt for a free, two-day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island dance and cultures.

This year is the first year a Tasmanian team will be competing, too. Electro-pop duo Electric Fields and Canadian First Nations singer-songwriter Leonard Summer will be performing across the two-day event. For more information, head to the Facebook event page.

DoggoFest

The annual Wollongong Writers Festival launches its 2018 program this Friday at Wollongong Art Gallery. The festival, which runs over the weekend, rides on the theme of ‘What Feeds You’, and will play host to over 20 different events.
