What a Fizzer – a wine tasting party celebrating fizzy things

The Unicorn Hotel, Mary’s and P&V Wine and Liquor Merchants have collaborated to host What A Fizzer, celebrating pet nats, grower Champagne, Lambrusco, small batch sparkling wines, plus select cider and wild ferment beers. Tickets are $50 and will let you sample over 50 wines, beers and ciders and will even score you a Mary’s snack pack (vegan options available). Pop-Up Globe

The world’s first full-scale replica of London’s historic Globe Theatre will make Sydney its home until December 16. Shakespeare fans are relishing in the opportunity to see the likes of The Taming of the ShrewA Midsummer Night’s Dream or The Merchant of Venice, amongst other titles in the playwright’s entire back catalogue, right here in Sydney. Cellar Door at Sea

Sydney is set to become home to the world’s first cellar door at sea. South Australia-based cellar Taylor’s Wines will be sailing from their home in Clare Valley all the way to Sydney Harbour. Limited to one weekend, lucky drinkers will get the chance to board a dedicated vino barge and enjoy wine tasting set to the backdrop of the world’s most iconic harbour. Plants With Bite

The Royal Botanic Garden’s latest exhibition Plants With Bite, which has made its home in the Garden’s Calyx building, features over 25,000 carnivorous plants. The living exhibition is made up of Venus Flytraps, and if you’re not lucky enough to see one in action IRL, the RBG has launched a Pokemon Go-style app so you can watch them eat flies in augmented reality instead.

Liminal Magazine and Small FRY come together to present a night of poetry and music, featuring poets Chi Tran, Heather Joan Day, Jennifer Nguyen, Madison Griffiths, Manisha Anjali, Non Chalant & Tanya Ali, and followed by music by Chunyin, Tracy Chen, AIYA and SAL.
