Brace yourselves: SOOK are releasing an EP and hitting the road for a huge national tour

Since releasing their debut single I’m Not Your Woman in January, Sydney’s SOOK have been on fire.

Having thrown their very own mini festival SOOKFEST, and supported such acts as Amyl & The Sniffers, Iluka, White Blanks, and Mac The Knife, SOOK are now ready to hit the road and take their abrasive and vitriolic brand of art-punk all around the country.

I hope you’re ready for this: SOOK are releasing their debut EP, and are taking it all over the nation on an epic national tour. And of course it’s being sponsored by Coolabah Wines.

SOOK have been building a reputation for their wild and unique live show – one that often features some pretty gnarly costumes, and vocalist Macayla Schwartz reading poetry out of a bible.

The new EP will be called The Cook Book, so what better to celebrate than getting cooked and heading out to one (or multiple) of the band’s upcoming shows.

For the tour, the three-piece will be bringing along a huge list of mates, including: Bullshirt, Shaun Oakley and the Boys, Good Pash, Lex Deluxe, Maates, Crushed Tinniez, Naughty Naughty and The Good Boys, John Howard, BOUDICCA, Dangerpenny, wasterr, Pistol Peaches, and a heap more.

SOOK were recently announced as finalists for our Needle In The Hay competition, and are also set to play our Issue 8 Launch Party at the Lady Hampshire in June.

Do yourself a favour and get out to a gig. It’ll be an experience you never forget.

The Cook Book will be out soon via White Lodge Records.
