Last week we premiered the stunning new single from Krista Polvere, a glittering tune named Father woven through with a warm, summery Americana that’s tough to resist.
It was the first taste of her upcoming album, due out November 25th, and you’ll be able to catch her official launch a little later on the 10th of December. The venue of choice is Melbourne’s famous Ding Dong Lounge, and for the first time in years, Polvere will be joined by a full band.
After performing onstage by herself for most of her career, Krista Polvere is bringing on a full band for her biggest album launch yet.
It’s tough to pin Polvere to one genre, her brand of music being a thoughtful and story-driven combination of classic rock, folk, Americana and coastal pop. However, rather than flailing around in this grey area between labels, Polvere is nothing if not deliberate and assertive in her work.
On top of Polvere’s performance, she’s promised some mean 70s and 80s tunes to get down to into the wee hours. All signs point to a crazy night at one of the country’s leading venues.
