PREMIERE: Zorsy unveils his dynamic new single Screw Pile

For the past number of years now, Sydney based musician Zorsy has been crafting incredibly captivating slices of jazz-laden electronica. His music isn’t quite anything else currently making the rounds… and if you haven’t already been listening to this artist, let us give you a hot tip: it’s definitely time you started.

Today, with the release of his new single Screw Pile, Zorsy continues to build upon his unique sounds to deliver something truly epic.

On his epic new single Screw Pile, Sydney based musician Zorsy fuses a variety of genres to craft a truly dynamic listening experience.

Across the new single’s sprawling five-and-a-half minute duration, Zorsy marries jazz, electronica, and prog-rock to craft a sound that is uniquely his own. With shimmering synth lines, groove-inducing percussion, searing guitars, and irresistible bass lines, Screw Pile will crawl beneath your skin and make your body dance.

The track pulls in myriad directions – it never sits in one place for too long. One moment you’ll be grooving to the song’s deeply infectious percussive patterns, and the next you’ll be immersed in cinematic synths.

Screw Pile is set to be featured on Zorsy’s upcoming EP First Blush (out December 13th), and judging by the quality of what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes from this Sydney artist.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to Screw Pile above. Catch Zorsy live at his EP launch on December 13th at Leadbelly in Newtown. More info here.
