PREMIERE: Lose yourself in the shimmering dream-pop sounds of Zellen’s new EP Not Fashion

For the past couple of years, Melbourne based artist Zellen has been crafting incredibly immersive indie-pop gems… and in that time, she’s developed a dreamy and shimmering sound that’s uniquely her own.

Her music is delicate and understated; it floats past you, never really beginning and never really ending. She creates mini-universes within each of her tracks, and we guarantee you’ll have no problem losing yourself within them.

On her incredible debut EP Not Fashion, Melbourne based artist Zellen creates an immersive and hallucinatory world that you’ll never want to leave.

Across the new EP’s four track duration, Zellen glides through a hypnotic blend of electronica and indie-pop to create a sound that will leave you with a wonderful feeling of disorientation.

As EP opener The Heat eases you into her woozy soundscapes, you’ll immediately find yourself entranced by her glassy production and arresting vocals. The EP’s title track Not Fashion is driven by pop-hooks and glittery synth lines, while Rooms With Flickering Lights is a sprawling and slow-burning piano ballad that builds into a haunting catharsis of narcotised dream-pop.

By the time New To Me reaches its glitchy conclusion, you’ll have been roped in completely by Zellen’s hallucinatory sounds.

Not Fashion follows a string of consistently great single from Zellen, and we’re hoping we won’t have to wait long to hear what she delivers next.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new EP above.
