Pyjama Sundayz have finally released their debut album The Clench after a series of misfortunate events that threatened the band’s integrity.

With pitchforks, crowbars and Molotov cocktails in tow, furious fans set out to seek revenge on Pyjama Sundayz, and Mr Doherty in particular.

When, all of a sudden, a short film dropped, captivating audiences worldwide. The band managed to win back their fans in a heartbeat. The album, it was revealed, had to be postponed.

It was important to the band that The Clench came out on the anniversaries of both the epic Battle of Gammelsdorf, where Bavaria and Austria fought for the control of the fertile lands around Gammelsdorf, and the launch of the European Space Agency’s Venus Express Mission from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, both of which occurred on November 9.

That day has finally arrived. Behold The Clench, an album that has already gone down in history as one of the greatest to ever exist.

The Clench is a 16-track epic that transcends genre, highlighting the immense levels of talent the four-piece possesses. The Clench features all the bands greatest hits; Ice Cold Rivét, Samosas in the Rain and QVB Gargoyle, just to name a few.

Pyjama Sundayz’ The Clench is like a kaleidoscope, warped through the lens of experimentation. Written over the course of two years, it details the band’s epic journey from no-names to stars. Nothing has even been out of the question when it comes to the band’s songwriting approach.

The future looks bright for Sydney four-piece Pyjama Sundayzdespite getting off to a rocky start. With a career arc planned out that involves selling out, breaking up and coming back, you’re going to want to invest your attention now.

Consider this a mere entree in the scheme of their entire discography. The Clench is available from November 9th.
