PREMIERE: The synth-laden new single from Orches will leave you drooling

Since releasing his debut EP in 2015, Melbourne-based producer Orches has gone from strength to strength and we are stoked to present his latest single Swing.

Utilising both guitar and synth, this track is beat-soaked and complexWith sounds closely linked to those of Nick Murphy, SBTRKT and Panda Bear, Orches is a self-confessed synth nerd, holding a deep love for dense rhythmic elements.

Based in Melbourne, Orches’ music is expanding to a network of creatives across the city, his new record set to include a plethora of collaborations.

His latest release has him working into new sonic territory, and with Swing comes the news that we can expect a new record from the artist in the coming months.

Spending months in the studio, this single is the first of many tracks to be released over the coming months in the lead up to a full scale record. The track itself was brought to life with the help of  OCDANTAR who took over mixing and Andrei Eremin (Hiatus Kaiyote, Chet Faker and Miami Horror) giving it the mastering treatment.

Of the entire recording and production process, Donnelly has said “I was really stoked to have OCDANTAR and Eremin help me put these new tracks together. I’ve been a strong admirer of their work within the local scene for a long time so I feel very fortunate”.

“I wanted this new music to be more groove focused so I can really amplify my live set and strengthen the engagement. I can’t wait to get out and play.”

If you’re down with what you’re hearing from ORCHES, then there will be plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself further as he creeps closer and closer to the next release. Keep an ear out.
