PREMIERE: Minor Moon share lush, folky new single Sacrificial Animal

Chicago four-piece Minor Moon have been releasing music for a number of years now, and in that time they’ve developed an incredibly endearing, textured sound.

What started as the bedroom pop project of singer-songwriter Sam Cantor has evolved into a full band that perform cleverly constructed pieces of folk rock.

Chicago four-piece Minor Moon have returned with another lush indie-folk track Sacrificial Animal; it’s earthy, authentic, and completely captivating.

On their new single Sacrificial Animal, the band weave elements of folk, indie-rock, americana, and psych to craft a track that feels simultaneously epic and down-to-earth.

The track’s warm instrumentation makes the perfect bed for Cantor’s smooth, resonant vocal delivery.

As the band seamlessly flip between crunching, bluesy guitars and lush, ethereal piano lines, Minor Moon will rope you in and maintain your undivided attention for the entirety of the track’s four-minute duration.

This is the latest in a string of consistently great releases from the Chicago band, and is the follow up single to It’s Okay, released back in May.

With a new full-length album on the cusp of release, it’d be a wise move to keep an eye on these guys going forward. We’re expecting big things.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new track above.
