PREMIERE: Melbourne’s White Summer are white hot in their throwback clip Zero in Tennis

Well hello vintage! Melbourne indie rockers White Summer have given us a tasty new clip for their single Zero In Tennis and it’s pretty damn cosy.

Set in a big old house, the entire clip runs off of a sixties dinner party aesthetic, think if The Beatles took a mini break with a bunch of girls and ate chicken around an open fire, boogie-ing the night away.

A fun, lilting rock track, White Summer have delivered party envy in spades, I can guarantee anyone who watches this is going to be booking weekenders in the Blue Mountains.  With some solid guitar and just enough build, Zero in Tennis is a happy combination of a contemporary psychedelic sound with throw-back visuals.

Costumes on point and attention to detail immaculate, Zero in Tennis is about letting your hair down with some mates, something that none of us here are opposed to.

Having already toured alongside Holy Holy, Kingswood and DMA’s it’s safe to say that White Summer have run enough times around the block to know what goes into making a great rock song and Zero in Tennis is no exception.

This clip, while not explicitly engaging in the narrative of the track, paints a pretty damn good image. Props go to the chef who cooked that meal, it looks good enough for someone’s mum to be very proud.

With a huge response to their single Head in the Sand in 2016, it’s no surprise that this one is set to eclipse it. With Zero in Tennis, White Summer have solidified themselves as ultimate tastemakers in holiday activities, as well as excellent curators of a self-branded take on psychedelic rock.
