PREMIERE: Maja navigates self-acceptance with captivating charm on Woman I’ve Become

Originally from Brisbane, but now residing in Melbourne, singer-songwriter Maja (pronounced My-ah) crafts delicate yet confident folk songs that nest themselves into your skin.

With carefully considered instrumentation and her stirring, soulful vocals, Maja has weaved together a unique brand of indie-folk that carries a weight capable of consuming you wholly.

I know I have a long way to go but I’ll get there… in my own time“: Maja navigates heartbreak and self-acceptance with a captivating vulnerability on Woman I’ve Become.

On her new single Woman I’ve Become, the Serbian-born artist manoeuvres through heartbreak, love, and issues of self acceptance with an endearing vulnerability and heart-wrenching honesty.

“Woman I’ve Become is about being okay with not being the person you want to be yet, but knowing that you’ll get there. It’s like I know I have a long way to go but I’ll get there… in my own time,” Maja says of the track.

The track begins with just a lone, earthy guitar and Maja’s moving vocals. Though as Woman I’ve Become coalesces, it builds into something layered, punchy, and truly memorable.
