PREMIERE: Davey scatters his self-doubt on SUPER FLY, the track he was born to make

Davey is a Sydney-based artist who comfortably shifts his stylings between hip-hop, jazz, and electronica. Time and time again, he’s proven the ability to defy genre and convention, effortlessly carving out his own addictive sound.

His latest single SUPER FLY  is no exception. Smooth as butter and brimming with an Anderson. Paak-esque energy, it’s an absolute slammer.

An easygoing fusion of soul, hip hop and electronic, SUPER FLY proves that nothing is standing in the way of Sydney’s Davey.

SUPER FLY is an anthem of self-confidence in the face of inner conflict, of overcoming the doubt within yourself and doing what you were born to do.

Every artist faces intense periods of doubt, it’s part of the game. It’s those who rise from the ashes stronger than before who fly the highest, and that’s where Davey is headed.

SUPER FLY  was written by Davey, and co-produced hist brother Hilton, Keiren Crowe, and Cefe Flynn – who all need a serious pat on the back. Underpinning the vocal are some of the slinkiest instrumentals I’ve heard in a while, whether it’s the stylised percussion or the beautiful bass tone that dominates the song’s bottom end.

Keep an eye out for more Davey to come. If whatever comes next is half as juicy as SUPER FLY, count us in.
