PREMIERE: Array’s debut EP Save Face is a slice of alt-rock brilliance

Having spent the past number of years gigging extensively around Sydney (if you’re a local, you’ve probably seen one of their stickers on a bathroom wall), Array have finally dropped their debut EP Save Face.

Three-piece Sydney rock outfit Array have been making waves with their live performances, and are finally ready to release their first collection of tracks into the world.

Renowned for an intensely energetic live performance, Array have finally blessed audiences with a release that definitely does not disappoint. This EP was one of the highlights of my week, and I know you’ll appreciate it just as much.

Straight away, the energy of  Staring at the Sun grabs you. Then comes the tasty bass riff. Then… it hits. I don’t really need to say more than that. When you know, you’ll know.

The Atmosphere is a freaking dope track! Not only is it heavy and aggressive but you really feel the emotion that vocalist Stan is pouring into his performance. This carries through into Youth, which has a sensational atmosphere that feels like holding your breath underwater and looking up at the light peering in through the surface.

We then get an energy injection with Washed Away. The cello in this piece is such a special addition – I’m buying everything these guys are selling! I’ll be singing the guitar riff from this track all week.

The finale, That’ll Never Be has a really unique introduction before giving us our crazy freak out to end the record. Overall, Save Face is an excellent first release and we can’t wait to hear more from these guys. Get ready for a pretty hectic time and dedicate the next 20 minutes of your life to this new EP.

Don’t miss their launch show at the Chippendale Hotel on March 16th, it’s FREE! More info here.
