Olga Solar makes one hell of a first impression on Tulips

Sydney artist Olga Solar has just shared her driving debut single Tulips, and as far as first offerings go, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Solar has worked on various musical projects throughout the years, though thankfully this new single has seen the artist finally step out from behind the scenes.

With the release of her spirited debut single Tulips, Sydney artist Olga Solar makes one hell of a first impression. You’re going to want to pay attention here.

On the track, Solar melds elements of indie-rock, folk, pop, and soul to create a sound that belongs entirely to herself.

Tulips is brimming with infectious indie-pop hooks, and features a vocal performance that’ll rattle your spine.

Considering this is only her debut, Olga Solar is a new artist you’re most definitely going to want to pay attention to.

I wrote it in a bout of frustration. I’d spent far too long receiving and contemplating mixed signals from someone and decided to call it a day,” Solar says of the new track.

It’s almost a eulogy for something that never was. I certainly don’t intend for it to be about blame or regret though, rather an observation on being human.”

If you like what you hear, catch it played live at either of the following dates:
