The Shire’s golden boys Letters to Lions have just released their killer EP Clean Eating, and are gearing up for the final legs of their jam packed Oh’ly Smokes tour up the Australian east coast.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Delta Riggs and recently playing at The Hifi Days Festival, it looks like nothing is stopping these guys from hitting it big.

Letters to lions

For the last month, the Letters to Lions clan have been touring all over Sydney for their Oh’ly Smokes tour. With two dates left on the ticket, now’s your last chance.

We are on a roll at the moment and loving it.” The boys say. “As for the future, the sky is the limit.

Having started in a folk band, the boys realised their passion for getting fans up and dancing. Inspired by their natural surroundings and the music of The Cure, they stumbled into more rock n roll territory.

The band’s sound fuses grungy and jangle pop genres, following an all inclusive writing process. Clean Eating was “born from the jam” the group says, explaining how they came to deliver their flavourful tunes that always have the crowd boppin’.

OHLY, a standout track from Clean Eating, has recently been released with a music video that will scratch that summertime itch.

The song ultimately is about enjoying yourself and not sweating the small stuff” The band says. With the pure tone of the guitar, and the gravelly vocals, Letters to Lions captures this laid back vibe perfectly.

For the next month, the boys hit the road to play shows in Melbourne, Cronulla and Newcastle. They expect the rest of the Oh’ly Smokes tour will be “high energy” and full of sweaty dancing bodies.” Say no more, we’re there.

When asked about what the plan is, post tour time, the band reveal they are “right in the studio to record our next EP”, so you better stay tuned.

The dates below are the only shows left on this sick tour, so make sure you jump on them quick. All the info you need is on Letters to Lions’ Facebook page.
