Dan Sultan and Jen Cloher to headline Ocean Sounds, Australia’s newest summer festival

Meet Ocean Sounds, the new one-day festival curated by the team behind NYE On The Hill and The Hills Are Alive.

Making its debut on Churchill Island (just off Phillip Island) in January, the family-friendly festival will play host to performances from some of Australia’s favourite musicians, including Dan Sultan, Jen Cloher and Pierce Brothers.

Music and wine getaway on Churchill Island sound like your cup of tea? Introducing Ocean Sounds, Australia’s newest summer festival.

Ocean Sounds’ debut lineup will also feature Melbourne duo Oh Pep!, indie singer-songwriter Mike Waters, and teenage superstar Imogen Price.

The festival organisers are promoting local wines and produce as well as bringing top-quality music to Churchill Island, just off the Victorian mainland.

Event Director Aidan McLaren said of the event:

“We started The Hills Are Alive over 10 years ago and now a lot of our friends have children and can’t do three-day festivals anymore, but still really want to go and see live music in a beautiful place,”

“We wanted to create something for them, as well as something that could showcase more of the local area. Churchill Island is such a stunning location and the local food and wine down here is sensational.”
