Need more Nile Rodgers in your life? The Chic founder and Daft Punk collaborator has just earned his own 3-part doco

While Nile Rodgers saw a recent stratospheric bump in popularity thanks to his collaboration with Daft Punk on their 2014 record Random Access Memories, the guitarist has been kicking around with some of music’s biggest names for decades now.

Rodgers is about to become the subject of a three-part documentary to be screened on the BBC. Nile Rodgers: Lost In Music will debut this April, offering “unique and never-before seen-or-heard insights from the Nile Rodgers engine room”.

The life of Nile Rodgers is coming to a screen near you thanks to the BBC. Nile Rodgers: Lost In Music is the 3-part documentary featuring some of music’s biggest names.

We’ve long been fans of a good music doco, and this one has us just as excited as the BBC’s recent take on David Bowie (who is actually among Rodgers’ collaborators).

Nile Rodgers: Lost In Music will feature interviews with Rodgers’ friends and collaborators including Carly Simon, Sister Sledge’s Kathy Sledge, Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes, Mark Ronson, Avicii, John Newman, Laura Mvula, and Keith Urban.

“I’m so pleased that we are able to take our audience right in to the heart of Nile Rodgers’ fascinating musical world,” says BBC Four’s channel editor Cassian Harrison.

“The level of access and Nile’s candid attitude make this a fascinating and very exciting series for BBC Four.”
