Rock n roll icon and Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister has passed away at 70 years of age from a short battle with aggressive cancer.
The news of his passing was first reported by radio host Eddie Tunk, a long time friend of Kilmister. Several other messages of grievance have confirmed the news, with Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne taking to Twitter to say “Lost one of my best friends, Lemmy, today. He will be sadly missed. He was a warrior and a legend. I will see you on the other side.”
Motörhead have taken to Facebook to post this heartfelt and warm message to Kilmister:
The musician had also spent the past couple years battling a number of serious health conditions, including a hepatoma and an irregular heart beat which resulted in him being fitted with an implantable defibrillator.
