Members of Spiderbait, Powderfinger, Jet and more are embarking on an Abbey Road tribute tour

This year marks 50 years since The Beatles gave us Abbey Road, and a bunch of Australian rock icons are forming a Beatles tribute band to celebrate the occasion.

Collectively known as The Antipodean Rock Collective (ARC), the group comprises of Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton, You Am I’s Davey Lane, Spiderbait’s Kram, and Jet’s Mark Wilson; all of whom are self confessed Beatles tragics.

ARC are bringing the The Beatles’ Abbey Road to life this August; playing the album from start to finish in a spate of shows across Australia.

They’ve got a wealth of talent joining them too. The live shows will see The Black Sorrows and Vika’s Linda Bull, Eagle and the Worm and Bob Evans’ James Fleming, Paul Kelly and Rockwiz’s Ash Naylor, and The Pictures and Jim Keays’ Brett Wolfenden take the stage with ARC in theatres across Australia’s major cities.

Released on September 26 1969, Abbey Road is widely regarded as one of The Beatles’ greatest albums and one of the best albums of all time.

Ticket pre-sale: 10am March 15 to 8am March 18 via Live Nation.

Tickets are on sale from 10am March 18.
