Mac DeMarco has sold more of his old crap, auctioning off a signed pair of shoes for charity

They say that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. And in the case of Mac DeMarco it’s happened more than once.

After selling his ratty old couch, like, a week ago, someone has just coughed up $20,000 for a signed pair of his old shoes.

Ever wondered what it would be like to spend a day in Mac DeMarco’s shoes? One lucky buyer donated $20,000 to the Small Steps Project, a charity dedicated to helping homeless kids in need, in exchange for expensive celebrity footwear.

After losing the first, DeMarco was so inspired he decided to offer up another pair of pre-loved hooves, once again donating all the proceeds to charity and pretty much creating a domino effect.

From celebs as famous as Paul McCartney and Emma Watson to acts such as Lorde, Grimes, Killer Mike and a stack more, all have jumped on board this charitable cause, raising thousands of dollars by auctioning off their shoes and allowing charities to reap  the benefits.

Signing their shoes through Charity Stars, the aim of the game is to benefit the Small Steps Project, a nonprofit organisation based in the UK that helps children in need, specifically ones who call landfills and garbage dumps home.
