Laneway Festival has announced its food and drink lineup for 2018, and by all appearances they’ve upped their game considerably this time around.
Laneway Festival has upped its food and drink game considerably for 2018 with ‘Royal Moyle’, a collab with renowned Aussie chef, David Moyle.
Alongside the stellar array of local vendors setting up camp in each city, festival organisers have announced a collaboration with renowned Australian chef, David Moyle (from Franklin in Hobart and Longsong in Melbourne), who will be curating special food and drink pairings at the festival in Melbourne and Sydney.
The food will be served matched with a range of cocktails courtesy of Shaun Byrne from Maidenii Vermouth and Marionette Liqueur.
‘Royal Moyle’, as the collaboration has been dubbed, was announced at an exclusive tasting event in Melbourne yesterday, with input from a selection of acclaimed chefs, and restaurants.
“It was a natural fit to curate a food and drink experience at Laneway,” Moyle said of the collaboration. “I love music, I think all hospo people have an affinity with music people so I see this as an opportunity to celebrate the bond between music and food.
I have invited a bunch of seriously great chefs along to have fun designing food to be enjoyed at Laneway and Shaun is mixing up great drinks to compliment. For me this is about bringing fun back to food with a bunch of mates at an amazing Music Festival. So good!”
The ‘Royal Moyle’ aspect of the Sydney Laneway will include food and drinks from Hubert, Pinbone, and 10 William St; and in Melbourne, Embla, Smith & Daughters, Harley & Rose.
