Right now King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are holding five spots in ARIA’s top 20 albums

Aussie psych-rock legends and prolific music beasts King Gizzard and The lizard Wizard are currently enjoying five slots on the ARIA album charts, following the re-release of their first five albums.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack is still enjoying the spotlight at #1, claiming the spot for the third consecutive week.

Psych-rock shamans King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard are holding down 5 spots in ARIA’s top 20 albums.

At the time of writing this, 2013’s Eyes Like The Sky is at #10, 2013’s Float Along – Fill Your Lungs has landed in at #12, 2014’s Oddments is in at #13, 2012’s 12 Bar Bruise holds #14, while 2011’s Willoughby’s Beach occupies #15.

Last month Flightless Records, the band’s label, reissued these first five albums at 5,000 copies each. Amongst the pricing options was a package deal on all five, which explains each record’s close position to one another on the charts.

Eyes Like The Sky is presumably performing best due to its rarity – the album doesn’t appear on Spotify and holds a somewhat cult-like status among fans.

The band are known not only for their psychedelic sounds and musical experiments, but also for their prolific output – they put out a mammoth five albums last year, and for that, they can officially be called legends.
