Prepare to be hypnotised by Jamie-Rose’s new video Bombay

Since dropping her debut single in 2017, Brisbane-based artist Jamie-Rose has built herself as one of the country’s most refreshing and promising emerging pop voices. Now with a string of great singles under her belt, she sits atop a damn impressive discography.

Today, Jamie-Rose has unveiled the hypnotic new video for her track Bombay… and we guarantee you’ll be unable to look away from this clip.

Bombay, the incredible new music video from Brisbane-based artist Jamie-Rose is like a surreal, hyper-coloured hallucination.

Bombay is a wonderful melting pot of pop, soul, R&B, hip-hop, and electronica. With spirited and sultry vocal delivery, glassy synth lines, and pulsating percussion, the track is an immersive slice of music that will consume you wholly. Driven by themes of female power, Bombay is unapologetic and powerful.

According to a press release, the track is inspired by “movies where women blind the men from the real master plan with their sensual and charismatic persona.” Jamie-Rose adds: “If you can’t change their minds then use it against them.”

The tracks new video is the perfect visual accompaniment. Directed by Que Film Collective, the new clip is like a surreal, hyper-coloured hallucination. Much like the track itself, it’s dark and captivating.

These are still relatively early days for this Brisbane artist, but judging by everything we’ve seen and heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes from Jamie-Rose.

For now, do yourself a favour and watch the new clip above.
