It’s time to vote for your favourite local bands in the VB Hard Yards comp!

This year’s annual VB Hard Yards is about to kick off and nine of the best local bands from NSW, VIC, and QLD  have been shortlisted to go on tour with some huge Aussie headliners.

Victoria Bitter is now giving you the chance to vote for your favourites and determine just who lands a spot on the east coast tour.

This is the second year Victoria Bitter has hosted Hard Yards after it’s first, hugely successful effort to back live Aussie rock in 2017.

This is a huge opportunity for some of Australia’s finest, with the winner taking out a prize of $5,000 cash each and pre-paid rehearsal room hire. You can bet those winners will be primed and ready for a raucous live tour across the country.

The top three will also get the opportunity to open some of our best Aussie acts across four cities (last year hosted Cosmic Psychos as headliners), making for a tour you won’t want to miss.

Last year’s inaugural Hard Yards tour saw some of Australia’s best live acts come into the limelight, with finalists Mini Skirt, RACKETT and Shearin’ seeing huge success in the live music scene ever since.

This is a mammoth opportunity for any local bands trying to make a break in the industry, and we can’t wait to see who takes out the top spot. The tour kicks off in October, but make sure to get your vote in before submissions close at the end of July.
