Introducing Phondupe

phondupe proxy

Phondupe are an electronic duo who split their time between Sydney, London and NYC (lucky bastards). Following up from their well-received 2012 EP Dinner Melts, they’ve released the first single from their upcoming follow-up EP, Greenhouse. The track is called Proxy, and was written in a little shack in the Blue Mountains. It has the rawness of Australian electronic sounds, the coolness of London’s and the sexiness of NYC production.

Phondupe have returned after a period spent trekking the globe, charming fans of indie, rock and electronica. Their new single Proxy features vocals by New York City native Justin Dean Thomas and comes with an atmospheric new music video… The duo have received props from triple j, KCRW LA, East Village Radio and FBi, as well as love from No Fear of Pop and Who The Hell. Their track Man In Elevator was featured in the Jay Z-produced film An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty, directed by Terence Nance – Music Feeds

At the time of writing, Phondupe have 397 Facebook likes, so head over and listen to Proxy, download it for free so that you can listen to it on the bus, and jump on board the crew of people digging it before everyone else!
