One of the latest releases from their recent mixtape, Agor Edits, weirdness abounds in a murky mixture of synths and mellow vocals.

Blue Hawaii

Hailing from the Great White North is EDM duo Blue Hawaii. In a scene dominated by so many heavyweights, the pair’s introspective synths and breezy vocals give them more than enough reason to throw their hat into the ring.

Canada’s got another talented duo hitting the top charts as they climb their way up into the EDM scene coming back with a stronger dose to fulfil your everyday music hit. There is absolutely no one more exciting in the Canadian EDM scene at this moment than this blooming duo themselves. Just recline in your chair and kill your ears to their most hypnotising mixtape yet.

The release of Blooming Summer in late 2010 was quite a hit sprouting Blue Hawaii worldwide. Whisking together a variety of spices into Agor Edits plays an impressionistic array of transient sounds and vocals held in place by textures of sounds. Meanwhile the opening track Intro delivers the perfect prelude to the mixtape inviting the listener with a short snippet tease of an eargasm. Its conclusion also reveals strong attributes; looped, vocals creating brand new melodies. It’s a tactic borrowed from bass music and reused here to surprisingly good effort.

Some of the mixtape’s most dominant moments are when the beat drops back down into a mellow, up-beat tune from an intense build up soothing the mind with harmonious wordless vocals. The duo ran the gamut from break up songs to a positive happy vibes chilling the mind through something unordinary – a plate cleanser of electronic tones voice bathed in luxurious reverb. The track Intro is one of the many mysterious tracks on the newly released mixtape, a track that uses the simple technique of limited amount of instruments slightly leading into a build-up commencing the rest of the mixtape.

The Canadian duo sure have widened pupils of the indie pop culture leaving a mark with their last album. With plenty more fresh new music yet to deliver keep your eyes and ears pealed with these youngin’s because they are surely becoming the next big thing with their frequent rapid ingenious outbursts of new hits.
