Intense and unapologetic, RACKETT are your new favourite live band

RACKETT came from out of nowhere. Like a goddamn meteor shower, they hammered down on the local music scene with a ferocity that immediately earned them slots on some of the country’s biggest stages.

And rightfully so. The band’s live show is an all-out punch to the head, an explosion of pure energy. If you haven’t already jumped on this bandwagon, stop kidding yourself and come join in on the fun.

With one of the most exciting and endearing live shows in Aussie music, you’re not going to want to sleep on RACKETT any longer.

I first saw RACKETT live at a packed-out Steyne Hotel in Manly. By the end of their first song I was asking myself “why the fuck has it taken me this long to see this band?”

With an ever-evolving live show – which involves some pretty gnarly costumes – the four-piece belt through an experimental blend of punk, pop, and psych to deliver a sound completely unique to themselves.

Since their debut single Bats was dropped back in 2016, RACKETT have released an EP and a string of consistently great singles.

Through these releases the band have explored numerous sonic avenues, from dream-pop on Prey to crunching psych on Space Cadet. The result is one of the most exciting and interesting discographies currently tearing through the Aussie music scene.

Do yourself a favour and catch RACKETT  live at our free Needle In The Hay Finalists’ Party on June 28th at The Oxford Art Factory in Sydney, or on tour around Australia supporting their latest single Space Cadet.
