High-tails open up with new single My Heart

Sydney guitar-pop outfit High-tails are back with their new single My Heart.

The track comes in anticipation of their upcoming debut album, which will be released sometime next year. The band’s frontman Nicholas Griffith explained where the inspiration for My Heart was pulled from, saying “We started writing it when I came back from a holiday in Europe, and a lot of the lyrics reference the travel experiences I had. A girl I’d been staying with in Prague made me a paper crane before I left for France, and I was reading “The Catcher In The Rye” while on the road which inspired the line ‘Nobody knows where the animals go to when New York is frozen’.”

After having a busy year playing headline shows across the country and sharing the stage with the likes of Oh Mercy and Philadelphia Grand Jury, they are now set to play Lost Paradise Festival on New Year’s Eve.
