With December looming it’s time to start getting your NYE plans started. If you’re a bit vexed as to where you should be when the ball drops, Young Turks and Siberia Records are throwing a laneway party in Wollongong to get down to.
A London based record label, Young Turks is the home to the likes of Jamie xx and FKA Twigs, while Siberia is a Sydney based label that boasts Midnight Juggernauts, Kirin J Callinan, NULL, Cassius Select as alumni. Last year Young Turks threw a NYE party on a beach in Tulum, Mexico with DJ sets from Grimes and Fourtet.
The DJ lineup for the Wollongong party is being kept under wraps, but given the talent both labels have at their disposal chances are it’s gonna be nuts. Tickets are currently on sale from Moshtix and will set you back 85 dollarydoos. The NYE festivities will kick off at 8pm and will continue till 2am, with plenty of after parties to follow.
