Harts’ newest track Wishfulness is a melting pot of cool

He’s been at the receiving end of comparisons to Lenny Kravitz, Prince and Jimi Hendrix, but Melbourne-based singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Harts hasn’t let too much get to his head.

His latest track, Wishfulness, is a humble blend of soul, funk and groove, with hints of electronica and psychedelia infiltrating the mix.

“Lyrically, Wishfulness is a song about being stuck in a rut, longing for something else. Something otherworldly. It’s a different kind of song to come from me.”

“Like 21&19 the focus here is the groove, song and vocal, rather than the guitar. I love the way it all comes together in the second chorus when the bass line and new drum pattern kicks in.”

Harts has announced a national tour to coincide with his upcoming releases. He’ll kick off his tour in SA, before heading to WA and back through NSW, QLD and the ACT, finally finishing off in VIC.
