Last week, Splendour dropped their mammoth 2019 lineup, featuring some of music’s biggest names, such as Tame Impala, Chance The Rapper, SZA, Childish Gambino, and heaps more. Now here we are, a week later, gearing up to buy actual Splendour In The Grass tickets.
Those of you who have purchased tickets to this notoriously fast-selling festival before, know it can be extremely stressful. The key is to get your shit together the night before tickets go on sale.

How many tickets will I need?
This seems like a no-brainer. Apparently it isn’t. Before you go jumping onto Splendour’s website, you need to confirm who you’re buying tickets for (if anyone).
Two years ago, I went online to purchase my ticket – got it – and then realised I was meant to buy my mates ticket as well. By the time I went back on, all tickets had sold out. How much of a dickhead am I?
Save yourself the guilt of ruining someone’s year, and get across this. It’s important. Tickets are non-transferrable too, so you get one shot. Don’t fuck it.
Ticket Pricing
Ok, so once you’ve established who you’re buying tickets for, you need to establish which tickets you need to buy.
There’s a few different options:
3 Day Event Ticket – This’ll set you back $415 per person + booking fees (my recommendation).
1 Day Event (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) – This’ll cost you $185 per person + booking fees.
So you’ve gotta ask yourself… Do I want to go for the entire weekend, or just one day? If you really just want to see Tame Impala, maybe just grab a Friday ticket. But if you’re in it for the long haul… go the full three days. Here’s the list of who’s playing on what day.
Camping Tickets
This is a common mistake. People go online, purchase their festival tickets, and forget about the camping ticket. I cannot stress this enough; if you’re getting three day festival tickets, camping is not included!
And yes, these tickets sell out insanely fast as well.
5 nights camping will cost you $135 per person.
Payment Methods
Payment can only be made by Visa Checkout, Visa, Mastercard & PayPal – so don’t be calling up trying to pay by cheque and then get all upset that the world’s evolved past your ancient ass.
